The Bowersock Gallery will present one of its rare solo shows with Alan - All Alone, featuring the energetic, colorful contemporary oils by Alan Ammann.
Alan - All Alone will open with a reception on Friday, August 26th from 7 to 9, through Tuesday, September 14th
Ammann, an atelier-trained painter, exhibits throughout the US and is enjoyed in collections both private and corporate. In his earlier career, Ammann as a realist, one of his portraits was selected as a semifinalist in the prestigious Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery triennial portrait competition. Today he has expanded his horizons and explores abstraction, with an emphasis on composition, shape, movement, and illusionistic light.
His current work is an explosion of brilliant colors illuminated by light; his illusionistic light style is reminiscent of stained-glass windows.
Alan is a painter's painter, highly skilled at color, and balance, his light kisses each canvas with life. His work is exciting, vibrant, and very individual.
