WELCOME HOME

Four Eleven Gallery, located at 411 Commercial Street, presents Welcome Home, the inaugural show of its fourteenth season. It opens on Friday, May 24, 2024 with a reception from 7 - 9pm and runs through June 3rd. This ambitious group show brings together over twenty Outer Cape artists. In Welcome Home, the concept of home is much more than a shelter. Home is a refuge, a source of expression, a manifest of vibrant difference. The show gathers together a community of artists rooted by a deep sense of place.

Uncoincidentally, Four Eleven Gallery exists in a large family home that has been an actual home, studio space, exhibition space or some combination to dozens of local artists who have inhabited its walls over several decades, including Paul Rizzo an artist in the show who also lives upstairs over the gallery.

The show includes Four Eleven represented artists Matthew Bielen, Cid Bolduc, Naya Bricher, Caroline Carney, Liz Carney, Janine Evers, Lisa Farnsworth, Mary Giammarino, Helen Grimm, Jenny Humphreys, RC Patterson, Paul Rizzo, Julie Smith and invited guest artists Tessera C. Knowles, Amy Kandall, Barbara Cohen, Antonia DaSilva, Denny Camino, Tia Scalioni, Elspeth Slayter, James Ryan and Laura Shabott of Berta Walker Gallery.
